Hello my knitting lovelies and those who are interested in making shawls; I have had a moment of clarity and decided to stop pay walling my posts. After reading many opinions, and talking to people, it appears that the main reason that people pay for subscriptions is that they like what people are writing. It follows logically that if your posts are behind a paywall, then you limit who can see them.
I am therefore releasing all my previous paywalled posts for general consumption and very much hope that you will like the content sufficiently to consider supporting me with the very small monthly payment.
So! Without further ado, let’s get into this week’s shawl shape. The semi-circular has the increases on the top, like the crescent shawl, but has extra ease with the two sets of increases in the body of the shawl - resembling three ‘wedges’. This gives interesting design possibilities, as you can choose to work different stitch patterns in each section.

I would welcome your feedback on my decision. If you like what I am doing, please drop me a line and tell me about your shawl journey. Are you a starter knitter? Are you still learning skills? (silly question lol).
I am writing a Meet the Author post for Sunday and will tell you about the direction in which I intend heading. I very much hope you will join me.
If you would like to look at my Ravelry patterns, you can find them on the following link: The Cumbrian Knitter, Ravelry. There really is something for everyone. I am not very good at tying myself down to one type of design and then churning it out. I am more of a ‘listen to the yarn’ designer. Sometimes it speaks to me right away. Sometimes it lurks on the edge of my sightline. Sometimes it has to go to pastures new.
